If you have a Serial to USB adapter, it should work.

If i have a usb to serial cord will that hook up to the SERT or is this only wishful thinking? If not is there anyway the SERT can be connected to a USB only laptop? thanks in advance.

download the driver for the usb to serial to your laptop and chose one of the ports and it works great, mine did, also fill printer with paper and print out manual, printer at work is most cost effective, memorize key points, have fun on bike because it really improves proformance.
