Default Changing the Seat

Quick (and easy) question from a new Harley Street Glide owner: My 2009 Street Glide has a stock Ultra seat on it. I also have the stock Street Glide seat that I would like to put on the bike for solo riding. There is one screw behind the seat. Once you remove the screw, can someone please tell me the "simple" trick for getting the seat off the bike? I assume that the front part of the seat is "attached" by some flange that sticks out front the bike, and fits in a slot or hole at the front end of the seat. However, despite having removed the screw at the back, and lifting the seat from the back, I can't seem to get the front of the seat unhooked. What's the secret? Thanks in advance.

Pull harder! It should come right off unless you still have the passenger strap attached.

No, there is no passenger strap. I'll try pulling harder like you suggest. Thanks.

Pull back towards the rear fender, and slightly up.......
After the first time it will be much easier.

Lift the rear slightly to get over the thread insert in the fender and slide it towards the rear of the bike. You may also push downward in the seating area (bucket) to help it off the front tang.
