Default 3 different builders , 3 different opinions

= me being confused as hell!! I have talked to 3 highly regarded builders about getting the most low end torque and pull out of my stock 07 EG with rinehart td's , kn a/f and pc3 without doing a complete big bore kit , Skip's in Winchester,Va , Kendall Johnson in Winston Salem,NC and Clark Hemrick who is a Amereican Iron mag. tech. contribitor in Kernersville,NC. 1st opinion , KJ , S&S 510 gear drive cams , D&D fatcat and keeping the pc3! 2nd opinion Skip's , 31g Andrews cams , keep the rineharts , andrews 30 tooth trans pulley and using a TTS mastertune! 3rd opinion , CH , TW-7H Woods cams , d&d fatcat and TTS mastertune. All I want is some more low to mid range torque without breaking the bank!

Check out the HQ 525 cams. Supposed to be designed just for what you want. Have not used myself or seen and dyno sheets yet.

Get rid of your true duels and go to a 2 into 1 exhaust and a new tune. Most bang for the buck. True duels kill low end torque and the differance betwean them and a good 2 into 1 is amazing.

The opinions all seem similart. Cam, Exhaust and fuel management.
I'd build on what you have. The 30 tooth pulley will help on the bottom end and make 6th gear usable at a lower speed.
As harley1425 stated a good 2 into 1 exhaust will be better than the true duals.
I'd do those first, then the cam if your still looking for more.

Any time you ask "how can I get the most" you get a big $$$ answer.

Many find the SE 255 cams alone will do what you want. It has a very early intake valve closing (IIRC 25*) which promotes early torque. Another good choice is the Head-Quarters HQ-500 with an intake close of 36*. The HQ-525 is a really good choice for '09 and newer bikes because of the lower gearing; but your bike doesn't have the lower gearing.

As for ditching the Rinehart TD's, I've had them on my otherwise stock 88 '04 EG with the HQ-0034 cams (same as the HQ-500 but for the pre-'07 chain drive) and love them. I had a D&D Fatcat on the bike recently while my Rinehart headpipes were off having O2 bungs welded on. I hated the Fatcat sound and didn't notice any significant performance improvement. I was very happy to put the RTD's back on after a few weeks with the Fatcat.

To be fair about my experience, I didn't re-tune the bike or put it on a dyno; the seat of the pants feel however was inconclusive about any better low end torque. Besides, if you go WOT you aren't in the 2000 to 3000 rpm range very long in any case.

Good luck with your research.

Here's another opinion from an engine builder. LEAVE IT STOCK and let it live.

If you need to go faster, get a honda

All seem the same saying to bolt in a cam. There are many choices. You have a PC III so I would keep that to save some costs. You have pipes that will do ok as well. So pick a came, get a tune and you are on your way. My guess you may see a few HP/TQ on paper between bolt in cams/pipes but you most likely wont feel it. They will all get you to about the same HP/TQ, just depends on where you want the HP/TQ.

Not looking to go faster , just looking for more pull since most of my riding is riding 2-up in the mountains and curves! Had a Honda like my Harley better!

If torque is your goal then stay with stock cams and go to 95". NO SUBSTITUTE for cubic inches. 2nd thing to do would be nix the duals and go to a 2-1 exhaust.

Think the 07's already were 96", a SE 255 cam would give you what your're looking for and not break the bank.
