I normally would not even change the gaskets, but the nuts worked loose on me this summer, so I am going to change them. I originally picked up the OEM gaskets, then I went back and exchanged them for the SE gaskets, because they are advertised to flow better and allow for easier install.
On the nuts working loose....been there done that on both scoots.

I fixed it forever by substituting lock nuts in place of the factory nuts....just make sure to add for increased running torque when twisting them up and using anti-seize on threads for next time ease of removal.

He's right I have used the SE gaskets for years, they work great and they block the exhaust track.
They are wok particularly well on all Sportsters and the 96" engines with there new round exhaust port.

I got my Big City Thunder Monster Baffles yesterday in the mail...

I got my PC-V in the mail today

And UPS tracking says my Big Radius pipes are sitting at my house...

Tomorrow I will go get me SE gaskets.

I never could get the SE gaskets to seal on my ThunderHeader. Since I wasn't racing the bike I put the OEM gaskets in it and they sealed right up.

Smlyn,
Did you get them installed yet? Any issues? My Bub 7's are due to arrive Friday, already have the stock headers off and ready to go. Did you go with the OEM gaskets or the SE? Any tips you learned would be appreciated.

thanks

You can use the SEs on the 7s, no problemo.

Yes, Pipes are installed.

I agree, I love this site. I am so glad I had read mucho info on this site before starting the project.

1) I actually broke the stock Y pipe while trying to remove my V&H Slip-on. No biggie but piched the stock exhaust.

I did purchse the new rings and SE exhaust because that's what V&H suggested.

2 weeks ago I installed the PCV from Fuel Moto to my 07 Street Glide. I already had the SE Stage 1 Air filter installed.

Then I installed the Big City Thunder Monster Baffles into my V&H Big Radius Pipes and installed my Pipes.

I ran the bike and noticed some slight fuel response issues after decel. When I downshifted and was under decel and pushed the clutch in and hit the throttle it would hesitate.

Keith at Fuel Moto sent me a firmware update that fixed the problem.

I am totally happy with my pipes, Fuel Moto and my Monster Baffles.

I did notice I still have a slight backfire occasionally but not sure if that's normal or if I need a slight tweeking and peaking...
