+1 also a pair of needlenose will pull it right out. The trick to putting the new ones is... just put a thin coat of grease on the outer part of the seal. I was a bit sceptical about it at first but it makes it super easy to slide them in and the grease will burn right off. I heard this trick from a seasoned HD tech.

Good luck getting the old gaskets out. None of my Vance & Hines pipes came with gaskets and the instructions used to specify using the Screamin' Eagle gaskets.

Brett,
I am watching for your opinion of the Big Radius's. Been on the fence whether to get a set or not. My wife is on the bike with me 90% of the time and wondering about the noise. They sure look great.
I am up the road in Dothan this week visiting the parents maybe I'll here them from here! LOL

Once the gasket starts to separate just grab it with a needle nose. It will come out. Never heard of the grease trick but I will be trying that next time.

Buy some carb or break cleaner and clean the sooted exhaust gasket area part of the head before you install your new SE gaskets, this will help the new gasket slide into place.

Grease and extreme heat do not mix....

Agree with the pick on getting them out. And as stated clean the chamber well. As to installing the gaskets

Stick them in the freezer for an hour.....

They will slide right in and you won't have that burning grease smell on start up.

Well, I got the old ones out, new ones in, new map loaded, then I find out FEDEX won't be delivering 'til tomorrow.....sweet....that's OK, I may need to go out and grab a new exhaust gasket, the front one had a soft spot and got a little boogered up Not bad, but my luck it will be just enough to leak. I will try the freezer trick next time
