While I am happy with my speakers the OL says she has a hard time hearing hers. All of these amp kits and speaker upgrades I have been finding are for two speakers, does anyone make anything to upgrade a four speaker system?

Call Biketronics
Tel. (800) 735-2419 and they can hook up up. They have both 2 channel and 4 channel amps. They will listen to what you want and get you what you need.

Default 4 speakers 2 channel amp

Again Firecap has the goods. 125.2 Arc Audio Mini 2-channel amp with 6.5 inch Arc Audio speakers with adapter rings to fit the 5.25 inch hole in the fairing. 5.25 inch Arc Audio speakers in Hogtunes adapters for the the glove boxes in the fairing lowers. All four speakers connected in parallel (2 per channel). If you want you can add the Hogtunes tweater pod also. This is the set up I am running under the advice of Firecap and I couldnt be happier. It is Very loud and Very clear even at 80+ mph with Rineharts.

Do any of these set-ups actually help with bass response??? Well I guess I should say mid bass response. I know you can only get so much out of a 5.25, but the stock speakers have none. I installed a pair of Infinity 5.25 Reference Series on my 08 when I had it. The sound was a little less harsh but it still had no bass response. Never really had much of an interest in upgraded audio (on the bike anyway) and never thought you could get good sound until I heard a Street Glide In G-burg during Bike Week. Sounded good for what it was and what it was on.

Oh and why do people feel the need to go to a 6.5 in the fairing. The frequency response (how low they go) on a 6.5 is only a little lower than a 5.25. I can't see in a fairing set-up how maybe 15hz lower would really make that much of a difference. And the sensitivity (loudness based on wattage input) is maybe a dB or two higher.

The only way to get the full effect of the speaker and amp up grade is to change the stock radio. I put Firecaps ARC amp and 6.5 speakers on My Street Glide and the system came alive with the radio change. The OE radio is junk in my opinion and if you need to turn it all the way up the sound will be distorted. Firecap is the best I've dealt with in a long time. Also you can use a USB flash drive on the aftermarket radio. 4000 songs, an it plugs right in the front of the radio and the handle bar controls work it just like an Ipod.

I went with some real power..Sacrificed a bit of the trunk but I built a rack (not shown) to cover the amp and recover some space....
