I found a nice set of 01 lowers off of a screaming eagle Road Glide for a couple of bills but the harley manual list a different part # for the 04 up Road Glides, is there that much diff or will they fit or no chance? Thanks for any input/

If I had to guess - it would be the brake set up??? or maybe the axle

 

Sorry I should have a little clearer I was talking about the lower fairing sorry for the confusion.

 

the shape changed in 04 for the fairing ==== or are you talking about the lowers like on the Ultra ??

 

Not sure, the part I'm talking about bolts to the front crash bar and gives your feet and lower leg some protection from rain and wind

 

yep, thats the same as on the Ultra's - not sure about them... I am sure someone here will jump in...

If there are two different part numbers, than rest assured there is a difference between the two lower fairings........and as I recall, the big change in the FLTRI for 2004 was the angle of the upper fairing and windshield, which would change the height of the lower fairing. So, that being the premise, the 2001 lowers won't fit the 2005 properly without some kind of modification.

 

If they won't work for ya...let me know I might be interested.

 

Slider, was hoping that they would work on mine but a little to much just to take a chance on. I talked with him and they have all the mounting hardware. They are on ebay, do a search for item # 4643952128 they are v.black hope this helps you out.
