Default DP brake pads = NO squeal!

About ten days and 4300 miles ago, I was at the local indy getting my E3 rear and the tech talked me into new rear pads.

He had EBC and DP, already had EBC and they were quiet for a little while but within a 1000 miles the EBC squealed just like the stock pads.

Anyway, 32316 miles of listening to this back brake, installed DP pads made my 4300 mile trip to Sturgis and beyond and the back brake has never made a peep.

good information, that 4300 miles would have surely shown any squealing if it were going to happen. sounds like a good replacement.

That's good information. My rear brakes squeal when I have been riding it for a while. I changed the fronts pads this past winter, and have pads for the rear, and when I get new tires over the winter, I'm going to put the new pads on the back.

Not sure, I've had stock, EBC and the DP's I have now. Bear Tooth Pass was part of that 4300 miles and I had no problem slowing down when needed.
