Default Paint codes

Bought a set of hard bags for the Road King and i need to get them painted. Was wondering if anybody knew the paint code for Harley Black in 05. Just looking to get them to match.
Thanks

Vivid Black? If so, just go to your local paint store and ask for BLACK. Nothing special about the Harley black. Black is black.

Black is not black. Go to a reputable painter and they should be able to set you up.

Default Color Rite

I have not needed to try them yet, but I've heard good things about Color Rite. Supposed to be a perfect color match. Maybe someone who has used their product can comment.

+1 on the PPG code being 9850 for HD vivid black. You can confirm this with a PPG jobber or auto shop that has the PPG computer software and mixing station for mixing paint.

WTF ever!

There is no "science" to buying BLACK........Dupont, PPG, HOK, or Acme all have different numbers for their BLACK, but basically black is black. Don't make this harder than it is.

Yes colorite.com is the magic place. They have the exact matches for all bikes models makes you name it. I painted my inner fairing during last winter, and got both of the blue colors thet my bike is painted and used the dark blue only to do the inner fairing, it's a perfect match.
