I'm in the same boat. Have ridden metrics for over 30 years but always wanted a Harley (I was too cheap or just couldn't afford one). Now that I am an owner of one I finally get it.

I must've lucked out because I got a Harley at first and never had to unlearn any of the other stuff. Enjoy your ride!

Hondo, I've been riding a lot between Killeen and Houston this summer. Riding after sunset is pretty nice and I feel safer at night than I do during the day, especially on the Loop, the Beltway and the Tollway. Central Texas at night is a good ride, even in the summer. Get out of H-town and you'll have a great time. FWIW
