That's a damn shame. Was he a long-time rider? Those distant trips can put you in new and challenging situations in terms of roads and terrain. It only takes one slip up anywhere, I suppose. Very sad for those surviving him, I'm sure.
Buddy of mine and his brother and 2 other guys were heading to Sturgis for the first time. they were gonna trailer from central Il to Omaha and ride the rest of the way. On Sunday morning my buddys brother got up {in Omaha} and said Im gonna go grab some smokes.Apparently on the way back he missed a turn and hit a tree. No brother. No Sturgis, three little kids with no dad. All my buddy could talk about for the last couple months was how this was gonna be the trip of a lifetime. How bad does that suck.
Horrible. Can't imagine how those guys feel. Makes me ill just reading about it. Condolences and prayers sent. Is there a fund?
