Anyone install the FBI Drop Seat kit to a 2009?

Default Anyone install the FBI Drop Seat kit to a 2009?
Has anyone here installed FBI's Drop Seat kit to their 09 touring bike? I know it's alot of $, but it intrigues me. I've always wanted a fairing touring bike with a seating position like a softail. If you have done this or know someone who has, would like your review on it. I believe FBI is planning on a kit for pre-09 bikes in the next couple months, have to see what that one looks like.

I've checked on how much the local shop would give me on trade for mine and it wasn't too bad. I was looking at a 09 SG there in Red Hot. Except for the 5th gear fix (?), the 09 has the dual exhaust and taillight I like better than the 2010. Soooooooooo, they called me back and I backed off. But if I did get it, this FBI kit would have to be factored in the final cost, cause I'd be getting one! Still thinking about it.

I definitely agree with wanting to sit "in" the bike, but man those side covers are ugly. It makes the bike look like a new model from Victory.

I agree that the side covers look, well, somewhat "bulbous". I was hoping a paint line thru the middle would calm it down. I also found this frame from Rolling Thunder (Nostalgic Bagger) which does basically the same thing, but then you don't have your vin on it, and all the attachments (tank, bags, seat, etc) would have to be custom units adapted to the frame. Looks nice tho! Like the fake softail style oil tank.
