Default 2010 Road Glide - Since Shark Nose Is Higher, How Will This Effect Lower Fairings?

Hey all, I am considering the 2010 Road Glide Custom, in Scarlet Red, and since the nose was pushed up .8", and tilted forward 2 degrees, how is this going to effect getting lower fairings that will fit properly? Will there now be a gap, or do you think HD will be coming out with a new product that has the right fit.... inquiring minds want to know! Thanks... Andrew

There is already a set available in the 2010 P&A catalog for the RGC.

If you are talking about the parts listed on the website, I saw that... and it is interesting that while it says that it is 'new', it appears to be an older part, fitting touring models from 1983, forward. That would not make it a 'new' piece at all, only the colors are new for 2010. I am also surprised that there isn't a detachable lower fairing listed for it as of yet. Now I am starting to wonder if the detachable lower fairings from my road king would fit on it... of course, I would have to get them painted....

the way the lowers mount didnt change. yes there will be .8" larger gap between the lowers and the upper fairing but nothing noticeable.

.... did the '10 fairing adjust up enough to enable the install of FLH vented lowers ? It seems you can always find a less expensive set of EG fairings w/ glove boxes on Ebay. You'd have to paint'm but hey, they'd be vented.

...... just looked @ the HD website & it appears that the FLH style vented fairings DO fit the 2010 RG. "Fits '83-later Touring and Trike models (except '98-'09 FLTR)"
I'd read somewhere that the fairing alignment was adjusted to accommodate the vented units for the FLTRU. Seems that was correct.

Interesting indeed... I guess those fairings are a bit bigger than the previous Road Glide Lowers - the only thing I am wondering is how would they look. The Road Glide Fairings have straighter lines on top, and the other ones have a more curvaceous profile... either way, more air control is better IMO.

The struts that hold the faring up on either side is angled in now, that was all that stopped us from using the better Ultra lowers before. I'm thinking about getting a set of them and seeing if I can make them work on my 05 before I cut the set of Ultra lowers I picked up
