Default Handle Bars

I went to the local dealer today to ask about changeing my handle bars on my 09 Ultra.I should have set down first maybe had a drink, They quoted my 1100.00 for parts and labor.I would like to get bars that are 2 in higher and back. The stock Ultra bars just kill my shoulders and back. What bars has most changed to ? What about a seat to lower me down and foreward ?

I just had Klock werks ERGO back bars put on my 09 Streetglide. They are wider, taller and you can adjust them back more than stock. I think that I like them. No cables or wires had to be changed on my SG. They were 420.00 installed with new grips.

Khromewerks sweepers 300515's $70 plus 38649-08 clutch cable $33. Do the work yourself. They are 2" up and 2" back. I love them.

I'm in the process of installing Khromewerks +2 sweepers on my wifes EGC based on many good reviews here on the forum. The pullback is much better than stock and the wrist angle is even better. The sweepers, combined with the lowered rear shocks and the reach seat, should have her dialed in perfectly for our trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway next week. The only thing she doesn't like about them is that they are about 4" wider than stock, but she'll get over it after she finally gets to lean back on her backrest! I like them so much I've already ordered a 2nd set for my Ultra.
Do a search here and you'll find many satisfied customers.

I installed the Sweeper bars a year ago, and love them. At the time some dealers and Indy's were charging up to $1800 for swapping bars. With some help form DAWG the install went well including running the wire internally. Here's a write-up with pics I did on the install. Do you by chance have ABS brakes?

man, i'm happy to hear about these Khromewerks sweepers. the stock streetglide bars, suck, as they cause you to lean forward to reach the bars. they do me anyway, and at 6'4" tall, that shouldn't be the case i'd think. i find myself setting the cruise and twisting my shoulders so i can sit upright while riding with one hand. i gotta remember that. i'm assuming that the cuts are already there for the fly by wire throttle? i'll read the write up on it that bertk placed in his post. thanks again doc, you may just have saved the day for me.
