the dealer will replace your turn signal control module, and replace it with the security module. a little programming and it's a done deal. i added the radio shack siren myself, actually used 2 sirens. its plenty loud and easy install. i find well worth the minimal cost for the peace of mind. i'd go ahead and get an extra fob at install, i just a few more bucks and if you lose one you'll wish you had already gotten one. also be sure to replace the battery in the fob once a year, or learn the bypass code.

not only do I have the harley security system with siren....I have LOJACK....and I have their early warning feature....

if the bike is move without the FOB near it...LOJACK will call my cell, my house, text me and send an e mail to 2 of my email addresses informing me that the bike may have been moved....

is it worth it....it is for piece of mind!

So I guess what you're all saying, if you were me, if you can deal on a bike with security and ABS, do it. There's another bike with ABS, but it doesn't have security.

I added the security system, siren and the pager, I feel better when I leave it somewhere, and like some have said, it will not stop them, but I hope it will make them look at a different bike because of the system.

It's less than an hour labor to install the basic security system, and initialize it. I actually moved the security from my 07 Sporty to my 09 RG. One of these days I'm going to add the Radio Shack siren.

I know that I would have slept better in the motel last week. Even though the bike was sitting all locked up and covered right outside my room window, the siren would have helped.

I have the siren and the pager. The pager gives me more piece of mind than the siren does.

my streetglide had it when i bought it new. was it worth the cost? i don't know, but i still have my bike, and have a little bit more peace of mind knowing that there is at least something to help preventing it from getting stolen.

security...siren...pager

even if it is not being stolen....if an idiot sits on your bike, the siren will scream "get the f@#K off!" and the pager will get you out there in seconds.

Colour me paranoid but I don't want anyone touching my bike without permission.

Hahaha. Thank you. I yield the rest of my time to the gentleman from Texas.
