Default Can't put 2010 2-1 exhaust on 2009s?

Just talked with the dealership and they said that they have been looking into it and there are two many differences to just switch exhaust a 2010 exhaust on a 2009. I was in a hurry, so I didn't get details, but that was discouraging. I'm counting on Fuelmoto to ease my pain.

2010 o2 sensors are heated and 12mm not 18 mm bungs. they are down by the collector rather than by the head. A little welding can cure most things. I as well am running 2009 exhaust. My bike is an '05 RKC.

Our new headpipe will be multi fit for 2009-2010 bikes (ie. both 12MM & 18MM sensor bungs) and we will be offering them in both 2/1/2 and 2/1 configurations. Also note that on the 2010 SG/RG with 2/1 that the muffler is approx 7 inches longer and headpipe is shorter.

A bracket change was made, but as others stated it can be overcome.

if you go throught the trouble why not just get an aftermarket 2-1 like D&D or thunderheader, I would think they are too new to find laying around cheap so i can imagine a harley exhaust would be expensive not to mention it has a cat in the head pipe..

So if I wanted to put a stock 2009 2-1-2 exhaust on a 2010 I couldn't bolt it right up using the 2009 hardware? I understand that the O2 sensor location is different, but I plan on bypassing those and using a PCV anyway.

Ok I have got a 2010 SG and have emailed just about every dealership as well as major exhaust manufacturer in the world. The main thing is the o2 sensors being smaller and in a different location. But the other things you have to take into count is the fact that HD changed just about everything else when it came to the 2010 exhaust. The actual head pipe diameter is different at the jugs. Also HD changed the ECM. On to the fuel management. Cobra doesn't have the FI2000R O2 for the 2010's until after the first of the year. Vance and Hines just got there fuel pack out for the 2010's but they are back ordered. The power commander V will work but I was told by some fellow riders that it is not the good of a product for the money.

I have ordered the Vance and Hines dresser duals with the widow slips ons, screaming eagle heavy breather, and the HD race tuner. I went with the race tuner because it is a true fuel management system that doesn't just bypass or trick the ECM.

I can stand the way my exhaust sounds. Are you guys talking about putting a stock 2010 exhaust on a 2009?
