Default Think HD is testing the waters with the Ultra Limited???

I'm wondering if the Ultra Limited is just a feeler to see how much people will pay for a pumped up Ultra. If sales are good they may make this the Ultra in 2011 and the current Ultra Classic might become what the Classic is now. Which means the Classic would probably get dropped. Or it may become the Ultra and the Classic will stay like it is. It just seems so random and out of the blue to come out with this model. Just a thought.

You may be on to something but I was also thinking that they may be testing the waters for the 103ci engine somewhat like they did with the 6 speed tranny on the Dyna line back a few years ago.

Funny, I thought the "Limited" was a watered-down (or in the auto industry, a "decontented") Ultra Classic. I guess I was so underwhelmed by the 2010 line that I never gave it a second look.

Keep the Ultra Limited, dump the Ultra and keep the Classic

If they want to be competative, they should. Hell, people are already starting to wonder why they have to pay 20K plus without it.

I said something similar back in 06 about the 07 models....that HD needs to do something to keep with the growing engine sizes...and poof...we got a 96".

I bet the 103 will be standard in 2011 or 2012. The real question is when the water-cooled engines will come...but if you look at the Yamaha Star line they have a 113" air cooled engine and I never hear them complaining about EPA problems.

Harley may need to just update it's engine design.
