40971-00 has been superseded to 40971-00B which is backorderd. However, 40971-00 show in stock in NJ at the following dealers:

I just wanted to followup on this thread. First I want to thank dawg for the info. I called both dealers and one didn't have it and the other wouldn't mail it. The long and short of it is the parts manager actually did a parts search but really wanted me to wait until the new 00B part became available in September. The 00B "kit" is $145 compared to $80 for the 00 or 00A. The original 00 line is basically nonexistent. Most dealers that showed the 00A line didn't have it and the new 00B "kit" didn't have an availability until September. I bolted out of work at 5 on Thursday and went to Nicks in Williamstown, NJ and riffled through this rack of lines (100s) an found 2 00As. I graded the one that looked brand new, ran over to a friends house and managed to get it back together and the weekend was saved. I surely wasn't looking forward to 600 miles on the Deuce with very limited storage.
