I think the systems on the newer ones (09-up) exit more evenly. The older Y-Pipe off the rear cyl, most of it exits out the right. As prev stated, the left pipe is purely cosmetic. I don't see how you can get the tune right with it that way. But these baggers RUN!!
I'm a huge fan of the 2-1 for looks & perf.
