Question Tri-Bar light upgrade ( FLHX )

Anybody have any idea why the new tri-bar light kit #67774-10 ( turns into running light and brake light ) does not include the 09 flhx. I spoke with dealer and they have no idea, they are looking into the issue for me. I cannot see any differance, but I do not want to take chance since it is not returnable, since it is an electrical part.

It should work. I don't have access to my 2009 catalog here at work but I do know that there is one there.

I think the only change from the 2009 to 2010 is they increased the price of it.

I had the dealer put it on my '09 before I picked it up.

The part number I have for my 09 FLHX is 68358-07A.This number was from the 09 P&A book.

Shouldn't be a problem. It is a multi-fit device for newer bikes. I bought it for my 09 Ultra and it took all of 10 minutes to install and change the amber lenses over to red. Worse comes to worse see if the dealer will pull the instructions out of the package (or print a copy for you) and then go pull your seat and see if the plug connector is there. If it is, it should fit no problem.

Having said all that if you really want something on the butt of your bike that gets cager's attention, then I would suggest a BAL-1. Yes...not a cheap investment but I have REALLY noticed a difference in the vehicles behind me when I brake the bike and that thing comes on.

He is talking about the tri-bar on the tip of the rear fender on the FLHX. You are reffering to the turnsignals.

I bought the one that didnt include the 09 and it works just fine on my 09

Your dealer is a dipsh!t. The reason is there are two part numbers. As mentioned P/N 68358-07A is for 06-09. P/N 67774-10 is for 2010s and newer. Page 651 of the 2012 P&A Catalog. I would find a dealer that has a clue....
