I have heard the same thing...or at the very least the trade-in allowance is rock bottom and no dealing on the price of the new bike. I was getting my 5K done on my 09 and before my eyes they rolled in a 2010 Ultra Limited and it was sold within 1 hour.
I just checked it out on Harleys website. I don't get it? Whats the big deal?
103 would be nice otherwise buy your own heated grips and luggage rack.
It comes with a bunch of extra goodies.......luggage rack, premium luggage, 12V power supply in the tour pack, heated grips, titanium guages that are supposed to be much easier for us old folks to read. A few other things that I'm not remembering at the moment. The big thing I guess is the 103" motor with bumped up compression.......even more than the 04/05 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide had stock.
OTD prices vary greatly. While in Calif. we have huge sales tax, you go right next door to Oregon and they don't have a sales tax......so you're going to save $2k-$2.5k right away.
What you'd like to know is what they paid before taxes?

To keep adding to your list;
oil cooler
Special chrome rims
ABS
Two Tone paint, like it or not that is an added $$$$$ option on all bikes
Back to the question;
Two dealers in FLA had them on the floor, along with other 2010's and they are selling.
One store had it marked at $26, 500
Another store had it at $33,000, yes that is NOT a typo

Buying the bike in Oregon will not save you the tax unless you live there or figure out a scam to keep it registered there.
Don't forget to add in the helical cut 5th gear and then take a deduct back away for the crappy color choices and the CAT that is now in all 2010 touring bike headpipes, all 50 states.
I too think this will be a huge hit for HD not stock not a SE, but right in the middle. I look forward to see what people get for a price before I dive in
