Default back to stock exhaust

First of al I have an 07 RG with K&N air filter, rine harts with fulsac true duel adapter. I would just like to know, could I go back to the stock exhaust with the true duel setup and K&N.
I Just would like to hear the change in sound. I think i need a bit of quiet for a little bit.
Thanks

if you measure with a caliper the diameter of the head pipes, they're usually different on true duals verses slip ons. i believe that true duals are 2" and slip ons are 1.75". check to make sure though.

I take it you mean Fullsac's pipe kit which modifies the original system to true duals? I used one of them for a while on my old bike, to see if I liked true duals. When I gave the old lady a face-lift (well, an S&S 107 actually!) I fitted a set of new Samson true dual pipes, with S&S oval mufflers.

It's not the true duals that are making the noise, but the Rineharts! If you refit the original pipes you will find each muffler makes a slightly different sound, because the factory pipes send a different amount of exhaust down each side. Your true duals mean they make the same sound on both sides.

If you need a bit of quiet, I suggest you need some quieter mufflers. My S&S ovals are just great, nice and subtle, but if they are not quiet enough S&S makes additional inserts to reduce noise more.

An alternative, which is really cheap, is to try earplugs! Foam ones can be had from your local shooting shop, possibly bike shop. I use them on all my longer trips of more than a few miles.

Anybody know of slipons that do not require a re-programing of the computer? I have a totally stock 06 EGS that needs to be a little louder.

Default SE Slipons

I installed SE slipons on my 09 Ultra over the weekend and havent touched anything in the fuel. It runs great but they are loud on a 96 inch engine.

So did you install the old Screamin Eagle slip ons that Supertrapp made or the newer quieter version that Harley sells now?
