What to do?

RE: What to do?
Well...just thought I'd chime in to defend the standards -- - --I'm happy with my standard - I dont need all the crap on it...just ride the heck out of it, and enjoy it...a few doo dads...that's it- - baseline and ready to ride, saves me lots of money just watching everyone else spend theirs! --I went through that urge to buy buy buy when I had my sporty, in the end, it was nice, but too much bolt on crap...no more! Just enjoy the ride!

RE: What to do?
It's all a matter of taste. If it's early in your Harley life, talk to folks like you are doing... you can learn alot. For instance, I've known folks that initially buy a Fatboy for obvious reasons. Then they realize they want a windshield. Pretty soon they are wanting to do some long trips.... they add saddlebags, yadda, yadda... pretty soon they have a Heritage, but spent a whole lot more getting there. All the bikes are great - just different strokes for different folks. My advice would be to sit down and decide how you are going to use the bike and then get out a pencil and calculator. You may be able to save yourself some cash in the long run. All the bikes run pretty close in price when you get down to brass tacks. It's all about what you want it to be for you.

Have not heard that one. I have heard larger engine sizes, 6 speed tranny etc but who knows. Can't wait until the 07's drop as I'm without a ride now that I sold my fatboy...

Well I'm keeping the standard,
I Here rumors of a touring model with the v-rod engine. OHC, Water Cooled.
Sound Interesting?

RE: What to do?
First congrats on the new ride I'm sure you'll get plenty of miles on her before you know it. Just out of curiosity... Did Mancusso give it to you for MSRP and which location did you buy it from? North or the original location on 610? I would think they would have come down to MSRP by now but I can remember when they wouldn't even think about MSRP when everyone else in town was doing it.
