Default OK now it's time to purchase SG

I think I sold my street bob and gonna buy SG. there is 06 with 6000 miles on it with 95 cu in motor (upgrade) and a lot of chrome. Or, I can just go with 09 or 10 new model. Price difference is about $6000 to $8000, but without any mods. with mods, at lease $8000 to $10000. Does any one have 06 SG with 95" upgrade with 5speed, how do you like it, can it keep up with 96" with 6 speed ?

BTW, 06 is in good cond.

I have a 06 (88 ci) which is just fine at almost 23K. I know of only one person that up graded to the 95 ci and he had some regrets, but that is only one case. It had problems that needed fixin. Six thousand miles is very low for a 2006 cycle and the savings in $$$ is a lot. So, it is up to you. Do you like the chrome that is on this 06? Or are you the type that wants a newer bike. I bought mine with 12K and it was 2 years old. New bikes are great, and they're yours right out of the box. That is a nice feeling too.

Get an 09. You can prolly get a great deal now that the 10's are out. You get the normal 2-1-2 exhaust and a real tail light!!! Color selection is way better too.

i got two friends each of them have very similar 95" motors in their road kings. similar mods, etc, very similar to the mods i've done to my 96" six speed 08 streetglide. in a hi speed roll on, or anywhere else, mine is much faster, they've both ridden my sg and i've ridden their road kings. man, i'd sure miss that extra torque that the 96" motor has, and going 103" with it would be humiliating my friends. the six speed is very practical also, as you've noticed with your streetbob. imagine if you couldn't click into sixth? see what i mean? i traded an 07 streetbob in to get my 08 sg, and ain't even lookin back. just a ridin and glidin now.

I have a 03 Heritage with a 95" upgrade and a 08 Road Glide with the stock 96" in it. The 95" is stronger and pulls much harder but I miss the 6th gear the glide has. I imaging a well built 103" or 107" would stomp the 95".The newer bike will ride and handle better, and you can get ABS on it. Well worth the 800 bucks to me. You could get the 06 and ride it a couple of years and then try and upgrade to a new bike. Whats the price for the 06? are you financing or buying outright? If financing a extra hundred or so a month and you have a new bike.

Go with 09 or 10.......they're not even the same motorcycle as previous years! I've been shopping around......the 09s are going from $1,200 to $1,500 under MSRP and they're the same bike as the 10s. You'll have the lowest mileage 09 out there and save $ in the process.

Thanks for all the responses. Due to the fact that the future economy is questionable and my desire not to be in anymore debt, I decided and purchased a used 06 SG with 6600 miles on it (with stage 2 95" upgrade). The best part of it is that no new debt and still has 4 years of warranty left on the bike.....

I tried to load the pics, but can't seem to get it loaded.... Help...
