Is this the kit? And what all comes with the kit? http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

+1

I use this with my 1/2 helmet, the wife uses the one that came with the bike in her FF helmet.

I made a deposit to purchase the bike over the phone without seeing it... Well they called me back later that afternoon and disclosed that the bike was used during a "Demo Day" ride (140 miles on the bike). That was not disclosed up front and I didn't get a chance to use that info as a bargaining tool, so I negotiated with the dealer on a few things to make things right with the mileage and a second headset was one of the things I asked for and received...

Post Harley Helmet Speakers

Harley helmet speakers are CRAP! When you get tired of listening to those tinny, crackling speakers buy a set of J&M replacement speakers, cut the Harley speakers off and solder the replacement J&M's in their place. You won't believe what a set of GOOD speakers will do for your listening pleasure.

I don't know how Harley can charge almost $200.00 for those things.

I bought the Harley helmet inserts for my KBC half helmet and hooked up my HD headset. It's clamped on just like yours, but I couldn't figure out how to keep the connecting cable out of my line of sight. With the way it plugs in on top of the microphone, there doesn't seem to be any way to avoid that.

I was looking at this pic thinking the same thing... that the cord would be in my line of site. I may just invest in 2 3/4 helmets and install the headsets for the long trips and keep the 1/2 helmets for local cruising...

Dawg, do you have a pic?

Thanks
Mav
Install a piece of velcro onto the helmet strap, in ther "V" I sewed them on and it was easy. Stick a piece of adhesive backed velcro to the speaker, been using them like that for 5 years now, and when I get a new helmet, its the first thing I do. Make sure you use the SOFT portion on the strap. the plastic is a pain on your ear when you don't have the headset on.
