BEST handling bike Harley makes, DRAMATIC difference, QUICKER slow speed handling, FASTER rebound, LESS turbulance/front wheel agitation and oscillation. DAMN, shoulda got a Road Glide. [:'(]

That sort of sounds like my last Sportster!

You typed it so I have to ask. What the hell do you mean by quicker slow-speed handling? I’ve never had a problem turning ANY motorcycle I’ve been on. I don’t ever recall saying to myself “this bike is great but I wish it turned faster when I’m going slow”. LOL!!! I guess in all honesty I hope the originator of this thread buys a road glide. I like riding around and having people look at my bike and I know there thinking “Woo, that guy has the ULTRA I bet it’s SaWeet!” Oh it is....it is!

Floridahawg I think you gonna have to go with your gut feelings. A lot of folks swear by the RG, and a lot of folks swear by the EG. You can't go wrong with either one.! I would recommend the 2006 EG Classic in Black Cherry because you will have to beat the woman off of it! [sm=drooldude.gif]

I was at the stealer last week, and heard the same stuff about the RG.. I have a Ultra. Can say that I can ride down the freeway no-handed too, and I have an old '94!! Never seemed to have any issues, however I'm thinking since I have an oldie, i'm going to go test-ride a RG here soon, just to see what it's like.. I'm not 100% sure I like the shark nose, but I can say that I do like the batwing at this point!

I’m not arguing with you and in theory the frame mounted fairing should produce less wind “agitation” in the bars. But I can set the cruise on my Ultra and ride down the highway no handed and those handlebars DON’T move, wind gusts or not.

The batwing fairing on the FLH induces some oscillation of the front end due to the fork mounted fairing.

I second that statement, and my batwing doesn't get pushed over by an oncoming semi truck either.
I do however agree the slow speed, U-turn, figure 8, shriner type riding is easier on a RG. They are more nimble at low speed.
Rent both for three days each. Find a dealer that will apply all rental fees to a new bike purchase, then make your choice.
The best Bang for the Buck hands down is a Vivid Black Ultra, IMO.

Have YOU ever ridden a RoadGlide? Like..... 500 miles or more - enough to get comfortabel with it?
I have put over 30k on an EG and about 60k on two RG's. Like I said, "for me" the difference is DRAMATIC. ....and it is!
I also said "It's best to make an informed decision based on your own experience." .... and it is!
Bikes, seats, pipes, etc..... they make a bunch of'em because there are a bunch of us.
