Rossmeyer Accident Report

I don't know what the trailer looked like but I do know that it does not take long for blinker lenses to become faded and dirty to were a blinker would be hard to see especially if you are riding into the sunlight or if the sun is at your back.
This is why I think every trailer and vehicle out there should have some type of yearly DOT inspection before it hits the road.
I drive a truck and have had to replace tail lights on my trailer as per DOT because my lights were not bright enough to be seen at a safe distance in the daylight.

Don't want to start a p[issing match but personally i don;t think the guy his turn signals.. I met Bruce several times and he could handle a Harley as well as any of us ... Turn signals working and turn signals being used are two different things come on down to FL for 6 months and see how many bluehairs use their turn signals

Having said that, I just scoured Google maps with satellite view and street view along that stretch of road and there is absolutely no sign of any kind of road.
I wonder if the truck driver put his right blinker on and slowed down. The riders would have thought he was letting them pass. That would explain making a pass while also knowing a blinker was flashing.

Age = 73 Sex = 73 Huh?????
as for the accident, unless you were there, it's all speculation and conjecture....no one here knows for sure.
I would think that a 73 year old man turning a PU truck and camper trailer onto a dirt road, would have to be slowing down quite a bit....don't know many that would or could whip a truck and camper into a dirt road at 50 mph........that should have been a clue that something was happening. Maybe a long day on the bike, wanting to pass a slow moving vehicle, saw his riding friends make the pass, didn't want to be left behind, a little bravado????? like I said all speculation....
Still, RIP Brice...prayers for the family..
