Default MP3 format?

What is the correct format for recording MP3s to get them to play on the 09 radio? Some of mine play fine others skip. Not sure which is which format so I figured I should ask.

The format of all my MP3s is...
MPEG-1, Layer 3
and they work just fine on my bike stereo.

Didn't have to for mine. I agree do not burn it as a CD. I burned it as an MP3 disk.

Mind you different software used for burning may handle the type/name of disk differently.

great thread guys. now how to do it on a mac. surely it's possible. from what i understand i gotta import the cd into the hard drive as mp3 format, then i can copy it back onto a blank cd. other than that i'm lost. several pc's through the years, but the new imac is an odd operating system, although very fast indeed. thanks for posting the thread.

Some album artwork messes with the stock radio. I must have went through 7 or 78 cds all burned at different speed, etc and had certain songs that just wouldn't play. When I went in a remove the album artwork as suggested in another thread on here all was great.

I used this freebie program called Switch Mac (or something like that) can get it at:
http://www.download25.com/install/sw...r-for-mac.html

It worked great, and is easy to figure out.

Easy, Call 1-800-GET-A-DELL or goto www.DELL.com and they will set you up with replacement software, and a PC to put it on.

I am sorry, I am not mad at you. I am mad at my damned iPhone which I have to go trhough an act of congress everytime I want to transfer music back and forth to my PC. Their stupid iTunes kills me.

But seriously, call Dell.

You can use Ashampoo Burning Studio, which is a free software for burning MP3. Just google it and download. Works great for me.
