Default Chrome SE A/C plate kit?

Folks,

is there an SE air cleaner kit that comes with a chrome backplate? All I see is the cast aluminum plate kits and the chromed backplate sold separately by itself. If there is no kit, is it possible to buy all the parts separate?

Thanks,

I am thinking the same as you, but I think the answer is no. They want you to buy both.

Yes you can buy all the parts separately from the kit. And yes there is a kit that comes with the chrome backing plate.....it's called the Arlen Ness Big Sucker. But there is not SE kit that comes with the chrome plate.

Default Chrome SE backplate

Thanks, guys, appreciate the quick answers. Time to start hunting for the individual parts.

Here's the pn#'s you need, just ditch the one for the backing plate and pick up the chrome one instead

That's what I plan on doing myself. Priced all the parts one day at my local HD all except the filter since I plan on going with a K&N instead.

Came out a few dollars cheaper to.

That's the way I did it. And, yes, it is cheaper than the kit. Much cheaper than buying the kit then replacing the backplate. And, as stated, leave the Harley filter in the catalog. Just got mine from AutoZone, (K&N). They had to order it and it arrived in 29 hrs.

Check with Jamie at FuelMoto. I just bought an SE breather kit from him with a chrome backplate. It was a little more than the standard one but his also came with the K&N filter included.
