Default Grips on 09 Streetglide!

I have the stock HD grips on my 09 Streetglide and no matter what I do if I ride without gloves my hands stick to the soft rubber compound which is annoying. I currently on my old softail have billet type grips that are knurrled and I tend to like that. Two questions, first has anyone changed grips with the thottle by wire any issues? Second what grips have people installed on there touring bikes that still look and function well? I am leaving all the controls and everything stock I just would like different grips.

I had the same problem and swapped them out for the AVON grips...love em..they're also a bit fatter (radius wise) which I found more comfortable.

Which AVON grips did you end up going with?

air cushioned FBW w/ throttle sleeve. It was a very easy swap, too.

I did these Avon grips. No sticking and good value. Surface is almost like Renthal or in fact it may be.

Entire process took about 15 minutes tops.

From their website:

"To accent these customized grips, we use only the best Billet Aluminum collars and end caps, a true sign of high quality. Many of our Big Bike grips are made to fit both 1" and 7/8" handlebars"

Thank you Xcrossbow. I have been looking at the Precision Controls version of these for a long time but didn't want to pay the $100. I had not seen the Avons until this thread. These are going to be my next investment.
