Impressions on freshly uncrated 2010's; including CVO's!
YES, I KNOW.....
The dealer in Colorado Springs was uncrating a bunch of 2010's today and I had a great time walking through them. Here are my impressions of the ones that I payed attention to:
Ultra Classic Limited: The one they had was Vivid Black/Blue Ice - incredible color combination and truly a beautiful bike. Probably at the top of my wish list.
SG & RG: They had one of each in Scarlet Red which is much brighter in person than what is shown on the HD website. Do I like the new RG? Well, yes...I like the right side of it...can't get past not having a pipe on the left side though.
CVO Fatbob: Cryptic Black/Hellfire Flames/Brown seat - great looking bike (but not a bagger - my bias)
CVO Softail Convertible: Inferno Orange/Vivid Black w/Silver Graphics - color reminded me of the yellow CVO V-Rod from a couple years ago. Should be a good seller.
CVO Street Glide: Spiced Rum w/Gold Leaf Graphics - Only way to describe it - BADASS BIKE!!! If you're thinking of buying one, you'd better not dick around too long...I predict that this bike is going to be hard to find. The new wheels give the CVO-SG a flat-*** mean look!!!
CVO Ultra Classic: Scarlet Red Pearl/Dark Slate - Great looking bike but I think the Burnt Amber/Hot Citrus is probably the one that'll sell better.

I seen cvo street glide in spiced rum, ultra classic cvo limited ultra road glide custom black demin sg softail convertible road kings all very nice but of course iam a big fan of the cvo street glide. I also looked in the 2010 parts book and you can get the same rims that are on cvo sg in chrome or black and chrome for 499.99 not bad. Christmas in july.

We got our 2010 bikes in today. The vivid black/black ice pearl Limited is smokin hot looking and packed with goodies for a decent price. The newly revamped Wide Glide is another clear winner!!!! HD really did a phenomenal job on the 2010 Wide Glides! I'm not a cruiser guy, but the Wide Glide could easily win me over as a second bike. I think I like everything about the 2010's. We have deposits on 3 CVO SG's already. These are going to sell like hotcakes down here!

Whiskers, my take on the new bikes were about the same as yours. It sounds like we saw the same bikes bikes except I didnt get to see the CVO fatbob and the CVO convertible I saw was the blue color. I saw the seat you describe on the HD web site and thought it looked really good. The blue convertible I saw had some really good looking silverleaf in it. The blue ice on the ultra limited was like a cameleon paint. It seemed to change colors and the depth was intense. I think the CVO burnt amber and and hot citrus is going to be the best paint for this year. As far as the new road glide it seems like a lot of people wanted this bike to have a tour pak and be more of a full blown tour bike but I think the MOCO made a wise choice by gearing it more towards something the younger riders may want.
