Default Has anyone installed a detachable tour pack on a SG

I am installing an Ultra tour pack on my 08 SG. The detachable hardware mounts through the hole in the fender that the antenna runs though. I plan on just using the pack on trips. Does anyone have any ideas on where to mount the antenna when the pack in off? I have the bracket for the antenna mounted back where it was, but will need to cut out the fender a little more in order for it to fit. Just looking for better ideas. Thanks in advance

Mine is an '09 Street Glide, so not quite the same. But for the antenna I just went with a hidden one that goes inside the fairing. I used some automotive body plugs to cover the holes in the tour pack after I pulled off the antenna mount. For the oval holes in the fender strips I just bought another solid plug like they use on the right side for the CB hole. That cost a whooping $1.75.

Same here, I just bought a hidden one and put it in the fairing. I dont use the radio much so it was no big deal for me. Good luck.

I have the same antenna as the Terminator and it has worked as good for me as the original stock antenna. However, some folks have had some complaints with their reception. Maybe it has to do with the area, I don't know. But I am very happy my new Tourpack and antenna.

Yep some guys hook up a antenna Y-ADAPTER (one male to two female motorola plugs) inside fairing so both the internal fairing antenna & tour pak antenna can be connected without having to physically switch between the two.
