Boy did I speak too soon. Now my tuner controller is not working. No response, no lights, no nothing. This is getting old. I have run through 4 batteries to make sure and nothing.

 

Your problem is not the battery. The remote doesn't work on some models. it supposedly does not get a strong enough remote signal from the unit that's plugged into the ECU. I kept the main plug-in unit and returned the remote for $50.00 refund. The system works great in automatic mode.

 

i also bought one about 8 months ago i have had no problems what so ever. i do have the ridemaxx plus my bike is getting a 103 bb kit with cams and and screaming eagle heads. i did call ride maxx cuz i wasnt sure it do what it does now for a bb kit. they told me to send them the unit back and they would remap it for my bike so we will see what happens when i get it back. later

I installed the RideMaxx Plus on my 09 Night Train last fall. Was a very easy install and program. As stated by someone earlier the Plus unit is far more tuneable than RideMaxx advertises. I can tell the bike what mode to start up in, i can make my own maps, I can even tell it to ignore the O2 sensors all together (though I wouldn't).
I have emailed their customer service a couple times and they are very helpful.

Even though I wasn't that impressed with the remote part of the Ridemaxx on my '07 Road King Classic, it did seem to work well on automatic.

I'm thinking about mounting one on my '09 Ultra Classic. Anyone else put one on an '09?

 

Any more info on this unit? Pros, cons? I'm about to buy "something", this is looking good!

 

My stealer told me if I put a Ride Maxx on my bike it voids the warranty, is this true?

 

Had one. It shorted out and is no longer supported , stay away from it
