Harley has a kit (29408-08) with the heavy breather and mufflers with the black tips for $619.95. I can get it at 30% off and I think it would look great on my vivid black SG. Is this a good modification for the SG to improve sound and performance?

How ya gonna make those dyna mufflers work on your street glide?

Are the mufflers the SE Touring performance ones, for 2009 models? If so, that's what I have on my SG. Here's a picture of what the combination looks like on a red hot sunglo. As for sound, it's better than stock, not as nice as the Rineharts duals I had on my Road King. For me it was a matter of wanting a little quieter ride this time. I'd put it at about the level of a Rush pipe with 1.75 baffles. My buddy has 2.0s in his Rush, and his are much louder. The SE Touring pipes don't really get loud until you get on it. I've noticed after 4K miles on them they have taken on a deeper tone than at first.
Performance is hard to judge against other combinations unless you have the parts to test. It is a definite improvement in power over stock. We compared my buddy's SG with only Rush slipons to my stage 1 and mine was much better on the low end.
Edit: Just noticed that part number you gave is for 2008. So I don't think we are talking the same mufflers.
