Yeah, if you're Bill Gates! Been there, spent that. Reasonable prices?? How about $4.39 for a 5/16 chrome flat washer. That's ONE washer. $5.89 for ONE bolt???? Ace blows!

Thanks to all who put up some real choices here, cool links.

<sing it> "Ace is the place with the overpriced chrome bolts"

I've used Allens Fasteners many times. They have everything and ship right away. You can order off their nicely organized web site: http://www.allensfasteners.com/

I would have to agree with you, polished stainless is the way to go. I've been swapping out my chrome bolts for poished stainless a little at a time because of the rust developing in the allen holes.

Gardner Wescott is probably the largest supplier of chrome and stainless fasteners.

+1, we have a local Ace hardware where I get mine. They seem like pretty good quality to me.

'Ya, I've bought chrome stuff there as well. They won't have all of the "oddball stuff" that us Harley owners want, but they do have the normal nuts and bolts. And it's nice to be able to run out, get what you need, get back home and install it without having to wait for a week for something to be shipped to you.
