I can appreciate that as my 6 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter started riding at the beginning of this year. Now they fight over who is going to ride with me. Both do exceptionally well considering their ages. I always hear cheers from everyone at the HD shop when one of them gets off the bike!

Pretty cool. Those are treasured moments. Two of my three sons ride, but they're all riding Ducati's. Face in the wind though. We started them young too! You might make him a nice little shadow box with velvet matting and a glass front to store his poker chip in memory of his first ride. He could hang it on his wall, and brag to all his friends about it. (You can buy those little shadow boxes pre-made at a number of places.)

My oldest son, now 18 years...started riding with me when he was 9.
In 2000 he went with me to Sturgis, because mom was home with our youngest son....now 9 years old.
I had rigged footpegs to mount to the saddlebag crash bars, I'm glad I kept them.
Now my 9 year old is asking to go riding every time we go out.
My oldest is planning on picking up his 2nd Harley when we get back from Sturgis, an '09 SG.
They grows up way too fast....enjoy the ride!!!!

Get that lil man a dirt scoot to mess around on...
I learned at 9 years old and I went on to race sport bikes... New Hampsire Intn'l Speedway...
Teaching me how to ride was the best thing my dad ever did for me...

Good for you!
