Default strap additional luggage to Ultra without tour-pak luggage rack

I really love the look of my 09 Ultra tour pak without the luggage rack but am doing bike week in Vegas Oct 1-4 and wanted to know if anybody is just strapping one of those Harley luggage bags with just light clothing in it without worrying about scuffing paint etc on the tour pak? Any ideas, my wifes riding two up with me and you know how they like to bring everything. Maybe that clear 3M paint protector?

i wouldnt put anything on top of the pack with out a rack. the vibrations will anything on top will mar the paint. you may be able to put a sleepingbag or something under it.... if it was just you i would say put it on the back seat.

other option, bring more cash so you can buy it all there.

I'd either ship ahead of time or bite the bullet and get the luggage rack. I think they look great on there.

I'd really be interested to hear how that T-Bag Bra works out for you with strapping stuff down on it. Let us know.
