I went ahead and got the Air Wing Rack and no regrets, it does look nice.

Hi, I just got the T-Bags bra and 3 lid bra bag, part # TB3300BBC. When I opened the box I realized it won't work with my carpeted lid, the velcro strips stick to the inside of the lid and I don't want to try and remove my glued on carpet. Otherwise it's really nice. I'm gonna just get a rack now. If anyone wants this T-Bag kit PM me. Thanks

I think the OP asked about strapping stuff to the fender with the tour pak removed. I did a trip with my ex Road King a few years ago, strapped stuff to the fender and, yes even a soft bag will leave marks on the fender eventually.
