whats the deal with the recall on the serg FLTRSE3 rear wheel "blade". has anyone actually seen a crack in their wheel and had it replaced. Getting ready for a long trip and the closest harley dealer is 100 miles from me. Just got the notice in the mail today.
Anyone taken thier bike in to be checked???

 

Check over in the CVO site. Hundreds of replies with only one person with the suspect wheel at this point. Suppose to be ~125 wheels affected. Good luck on yours, the dealers have been getting folk checked pretty quickly from what they're saying over there.

The recall is for wheels with either an R1 or R2 designation. Gotta pull the tire off and check the number on the inside of the rim. If it has the R1 or R2 in the number then it has to be replaced under the recall.

 

Actually they didn't even remove the tire. You can see the code by pushing in the bead of the tire. T.
