Default HELP.....clutch adjustment????

After changing the handlebars on my 2001 RKC and subsequently the clutch cable. I cannot get the slack out of the cable.Following the procedure outlined in the service manual and in the videos ( I have searched the subject) there's just not enough adjustment in the cable to get all the slack out.Attached is a pic of what it looks like after completing the procedure behind the derby cover and lengthening the adjustment screw on the cable. What am I missing?

What bars did you go with and what length cable did you use?

Thumbs up clutch

When you took the tranny cover off you had to take the pull arm off in the cover to get the new cable on when you put it back together you didnt put it back far enuf its like the cable is already pulled so where the cable hooks in the cover turn the cup that rests on the ***** back one more

Default Update

Went down to the dealer today and figured out that I have the wrong cable.I did'nt know that there were different lengths of travel for the inner cable.Learn something every day! Indy told me he sold lots of these bars for RK's and this was the clutch cable that works with them.Apparently he has some learnig to do also. Will get the right cable tomorrow and hopefully get this bike back on the road soon.Stuff like this always happens when the shop is closed. Thanks dawg and Jday for the responses!
