Default Will 08 SE mufflers fit an 09 ?

Hello,I recently sold my Dyna and bought an 09 EG Standard.Someone local has some 08 SE touring mufflers for sale part# 64985-07A.He claims that he talked to a Harley tech who said they would fit.The only difference being that his ( for 07-08 touring madels only) are 49 state legal while the new 09 SE touring mufflers(part#80732-09) are 50 state legal and are probably full of emission items.
So my question really boils down to this. Will the 08 cans correctly fit my 09? Thanks

Wow, no answers in over 21 hours. My personal experience is that the 09's have indentations in them for the axle clearance. Suppoedly the axle bolts come close to hitting the mufflers because of the new frame/tire/wheel design. (wider) That being said, I have the earlier mufflers (no reliefs) on mine and haven't experienced any interference at all. A worst case scenario would have had me relieving the area myself....I would imagine something along the lines of using a rubberr mallet and an apprpriately sized socket or similar object. Hope this helps.

Thanks,I rode over and looked at them today.I think they are exactly the same at least on the outside. The length and mounting bolts looked too be the same. They have the same indents for the axle bolt. If I had the required new muffler clamps with me I would have tried the on for size. Thanks

odd how harley makes us think that we need new muffler clamps. did you bring a tape measure along so you can tell if everything is gonna line up? required new muffler clamps? whut? try em on, clamp them in place, might wanna use some hi temp rtv at the slip joint just for grins though. take it out and ride the heck out of it.
