I think when i did the first "quick" calculation, i had the price of the EG Classic in mind. You are right, if i were going to get an Ultra, i'd probably just spring for the Limited. I mean, if nothing else you'd spend the difference just getting new wheels or some of the motor work. Luckily, i'm not planning on getting a new bike, so i dont' have to worry about being faced with that decision
Yeah, I guess if I walked into the dealer today and wanted a new Ultra, and both bikes were full retail, I'd prolly go for the Limited. But I'd get a set of bag guards, they've saved my butt once already.
It also has an oil cooler. No one has mentioned that's a come hundred more. If they had one in vivid black I might trade up from my 09 since I was thinking about the 103 kit. The blue sober black is fairly sharp but still not a big fan of two tone.
What about the oil cooler? That's worth a couple hundred. If they came in vivid black I would seriously think about trading up on my 09, the blue over black is ok but still not a big fan of two tone.
I think they could of done more with this. Like put on the street glide turn signals since its doesnt have the saddle bag bars,.. just something a little cleaner for the turn signals. I would of also like it WITHOUT the luggage rack standard. First thing that would go, would be that thing if I were to buy one. I agree with a couple of others,.. out of all the 2010 bikes, its the closest to what Im looking for. However, I can't decide between last years electra glide standard in denim black, or that new Victory cross country. I need to see the Victory in person and possibly even ride one. Either way I plan on keeping my 99' Ultra,. its been great to me.
We all have to keep in mind that they can't put everything on these bikes, they still need to sell the accessories after the fact. The SG fascia and signals would have been nice, but nicer for them if you buy them yourself and put them on.
Personaly I like the Limited in the Scarlet red or the Black Ice with vivid black. But if I were to go the other way (not a touring bike) I really like the CVO Softail Convertable. JMO but I those are about the only two I like.
