Default Worth the Difference?

I'm getting a $2,700 price difference between the Ultra Classic vs. the Ultra Classic Limited with custom color ($24,899 vs. $22,199). If you take into account Security ($370) and ABS ($845), and don't consider the heated hand grips, badging, etc. then Harley is asking $1,485 for the 103 upgrade.

So what would one typically expect to pay for the 103 upgrade? Perhaps this isn't such a bad deal.

Just bought an 09 and had the 103 kit installed at time of delivery for around $1600.

I think a point worth considering is that you could have made a deal closer to 20K on a new 09 a month or two ago. I don't know if those deals are still out there. I also don't think dealers are going to move much off the MSRP for the 2010's. At least not for a while. The 103 is a nice upgrade but other than that I think the 2010 is mostly fluff.

But then it makes me feel better to think that since all I have is the 09 with that wimpy little 96 and a straight cut 5th gear.

I am not crazy about the colors, why would you not have the classic, vivid black. I think i will be looking for a 09 black pearl Ultra in the near future.

Wink its just money

put 2k down on the limited special white/blue due in January.

If I got the Ultra in two tone, was 21,999 added security and ABS was up to 23200. 103 maybe worth 800 as is. grips 250 luggage rack 125. Guages ? rims? Basically I think you can get to 24899 pretty fast and I can get a 5 yr warranty on this. called around not many 09 Ultra's left. Last time I got a 07 FLHTC then spent 4 grand making improvements some voiding the warranty.

Just my two cents

Yeah, I guess if I walked into the dealer today and wanted a new Ultra, and both bikes were full retail, I'd prolly go for the Limited. But I'd get a set of bag guards, they've saved my butt once already.

I'm guessing the new Ultra Limited has big bore cylinders and pistons but no cam upgrade...same as the Tri-Glide. Hopefully someone can confirm this?
