i currently own a 2007 e/glide and previous owned a 2006 and 2003 roadking. i hav always purchased a new bike before factory waranty ran out. i have had good reliability from all 3 bikes while under factory coverage up to 20K. due to economical reasons i am considereing keeping my 07 for several years and running it up into 50K range. my question is how is the overall reliability and durability on the 07"s for long term ownership? what usually occurs or are they good for high mileage. what is your experiance? after reading this forum for a long time i get concerned of what appears to be weak areas in this area. one friend of mine says they are "bullet proof" and another says he doesnt trust "em. need to decide to trade again, extend the waranty coverage, or go metric{not!}, or just ride? what is your history over time good or bad on a high mile TC 96 touring bike?

Had an 07 Ultra, Heritage softail and a Dyna. I put 35K miles on the Ultra in 2 years and the only problem was an insignificant Rocker Box oil leak that I didn't know about until I was trading it in on the 09 SG.
Had Rinehart true duals and stage one downlaod and K&N filter on it. rest of it was stock. I was more pissed about having to replace the rear tire every 5500 - 6000 miles than anything. other than that I loved it
