Default Is black the new chrome?

On my last bike I think I bought just about every part made in chrome for a RKC, at least thats what my wife thought. But I just got a SG and looking at alot of pictures of what people are doing now and it appears black is coming on strong. Looks like just about every exhaust maker is offering black, black handle bars, black engine covers. Even seeing more black on wheels. Never thought I would go that route but its growing on me, may go the black out route on this bike. So is black the new chrome?

Yeah, it certainly does look sharp, but I bet it's a pain to keep it looking that way. A labor of love, I'm sure.

Not at my house it didn't, seemed like it was ride a hour and had to clean for 2 hours, and hell no if you get in the rain. Thats the reason I thinking maybe black powercoat. Can't be any harder to clean. But I could just leave it stock..........be then its just another stock SG. not that stock Harleys are not ok, thats just not my thing.......
