Need a bike that rides like it is on a cloud but corners like it is on a rail. If someone could only do the impossible.

My '08 had the same problem, but as you know those shocks only hold 25 psi. I changed to Screamin' Eagle heavy fork oil and that helped the front. I keep the rear at 24 psi. and tires at 36 psi, rarely have a problem now. While we're on the subjuct....I am seeing combined weights of over 400 pounds! That can't be good since the max weight recommended for an Ultra is 350 pounds. There is no bike made that I know of that will handle 400+ without problems. Slim Fast and Lean Cuisine will help!

I weight 210 and have yet to bottom out riding my '09 aggressively solo or touring with luggage with the 120lb wife on board. I'm running about 35# in the rear shocks.

I've got Ohlins on my other two bikes but I find the '09 RK suspension to be surprisingly good and have no plans to change it anytime soon.

Talking My 09 ultra no different, cheap fix...

My 09 Ultra had the same problem, about 450lbs. between wife and I. Changed the OEM shock oil to Bel Ray HVI Racing Suspension Oil (10w), and the problem has been fixed. The dampening has greatly improved and the OEM mushiness of the rear suspension is gone. I made a simple press that another person wrote about in another forum and the change of oil was done in less than 30 min. Do not use fork oil, do not know why, but it appears that fork oil has foaming characteristics vs suspension oil does not. Even the OEM shock oil had foaming as I removed it. The press was about $20 from Home Depot or Lowes and the oil was another $20. I can post pictures of my press in case you do not find the original one... Good Luck
