Fox Creek Leather makes the right stuff. Exceptional quality...you'll have their stuff forever.

Check em out. Any of their jackets will blow away those I see in your post...just my opinion, of course.

I appreciate that. I viewed the link and it appears to be very high quality. I am however, a fat bastard, and would prefer to have a local shop tailor make the jacket for me to ensure it fits right.

+1 on Fox Creek Leather.

I've had mine (a Classic I) for a full year now and worn it literally every day since - winter and summer and it's a fantastic jacket. Its warm in winter down to the low 30's at freeway speeds and in summer even up to 100 it ventilates well when under way. I had a crash in it back in November and body-surfed the pavement at 70 mph and it held up extremely well, saving me major road rash.

The leather is super heavy yet soft and supple. The zippers and snaps are very tough/heavy duty brass and even the pocket liners (usually the weak spot in any leather jacket i've had in the past) are heavy duty nylon material that will hold up well under heavy use.

That fox creek stuff is good. You CAN"T wear it out. But if you've found something close that you can try on, go for it. I personally like the one w/o the flappy collar. That'd be #1 in your photos. To each his own.

thankyou for all opinions so far. Please let me be more clear. I am choosing between the two jackets I posted. which one do you think I should get. The second one cost about a hundred more dollars than the first.

Jacket number 1! And, Just Leathers does have some pretty good stuff. Bought my vest from there.

Hope this helps.

Between the two choices, I prefer jacket #1. (The reason? Well, just a personal preference, but I don't like the collar on jacket #2.)
