Default Rinehart Question

Bought '09 RK last week. I told the dealer I wanted Rinehart True Duals installed. They said the way it works with Touring models is the header pipe is to be purchased seperately from the mufflers. And then the Mufflers just "slip on". According to him the only Co. offering the header pipe on the 09 is Vance & Hines power dual and they wanted $770 for the header pipe alone. Sound weird? It does to me. To late now though, just went with Rinehart slip ons with factory head pipe. I hope to get some decent sound outta 'em.

Rinehart is close to having their 09 head pipes out, but yes V&H makes a head pipe so it sounds accurate to me.

The 09 set up is so new, so the aftermarket exhaust guys are kind of still getting caught up. Bub will have a complete true dual set up for their rineharts soon enough.

i think that the new exhaust design if you go with mufflers and use the stock head pipes, you are going to get the best performance out of it. also, with the crossover under the frame, you are still going to get the aesthetic appeal that the 'true duals' gives you.

i don't think you'll be disappointed with your setup.

I think if you've already installed the slip-ons, that's what you're stuck with because the TDs are 2".

But... I also think you'll be very happy with the sound as my neighbor has the slip-ons on his '09 and it sounds awesome.

Excellent choice in rides............... provided you bought the correct color!!!!

Thanks. Color is vivid black. I'll get some pics up as soon as I pick it up from the dealer. had to wait for a clutch cable as I'm getting apes installed. Haven't even sat on the bike yet.
