Questions for you road glide guys.
Just curious. Currently have an 05 FLHT, made it my own and will probably always own it, but, have grown to really love the look of the road glide. When customized, wheels, bars, bags etc. there is not much cooler. 1. Is it weird making turns with the lights not following the bars at night.? 2 Are the stereo speakers in a good location to hear them, unlike the batwing?

As for turning at night. I don't consider it a big deal. When I am turning that sharp at night I am walking the bike. Nothing I can't see that close. As for riding it's the best.... Now for the speakers, they are a bit farther from you so take that into consideration. I have J&M 3 way's in my bike and I can hear them just fine @ 80MPH on 1/2 volume with the cheap little amp I put in.

I've never given the headlight a second thought. I upgraded the bulbs to Sylvania Xtra Vision and they do a decent job, even up here in whitetail deer country.
I upgraded the speakers to Infinity Kappa's and am satisfied with the sound I get from them. They are a little farther away, but they are aimed right at you.

The lights are not a problem at all.The lights on your car dont turn in the direction your going so its not biggie.
I've got stock speakers and have no problems hearing them .
I went from this.
To this.
Its going to take you about a day to adjust the fixed fairing and FBW throttle.Do yourself a favor and get ABS.Best 800 I ever spent.
Enjoy the ride.

Unless your moving extremely slow, you don't steer a motorcycle by turning the handlebars anyway. You turn by leaning and "the lean" is accomplished best by "counter-steering". The input to the handlebars is really minimal to counter-steer, becoming only more pronounced in emergency evasive maneuvers. So, to answer your question, it really is a non issue because you don't really turn your bars anyway much. AND if you really think about it, the fixed headlights of the FLTR stay more in the direction you intend to go because even by slight counter-steering, you are actually moving the headlights slightly in the opposite direction from where you intend to go (on bikes where the headlight is attached to the forks.)
As for the speakers, I love my music and ride continuously with a CD playing. Even at 80 mph the stock speakers are just fine. If I thought it was below par I would upgrade it but it's plenty good enough stock. (2009 anyway).
One last thought. The twin headlights on my 09 FLTR have the best road illumination of any bike I have ever owned. EVER!

+1 on all said so far. I don't have an issue with either. The headlight tale is one to be laughed at. Think about every sport bike and sport tourer out there with fixed fairing. Most all turns are made by leaning and not turning. The front wheel is only turned a few degrees even in the sharpest turns.
