Default Radio question

Picking up my first Harley on Friday. I took the plunge and bought a 2005 FLHT Eletcraglide standard with hardly any miles on it. This bike has no radio installed but from understanding you can buy a plug and play kit for it. Need a little input on the best aftermarket radio kit and if this is the way to go.

Thanks

Chris

I just replaced the HD unit in my Ultra, used the Biketronics "Retro Radio" kit and a Sony M50i stereo unit, works great!

Just finished installation of Hawg Wired system. Sony marine head unit with Hawg Wired Harley-to-Sony Adaptor. Installation was E-A-S-Y. Used "invisible" antenna so I don't need to fuss with antenna cable or antenna on back. The adaptor allows me to use the handlebar controls to change station, track and volume. The Sony marine stereo I purchased includes CD player and Aux-In on front for iPod/mp3 player. I haven't tested either on the road, but they sound GREAT in my garage. If it ever stops raining maybe I'll get a chance to go for a ride!

Wink

I went with the HK unit, and had my dealer install it.
Had the dealer that I bought it from just turn on one of those radios, I would have bought an ultra rather than the standard...
